The Nursery

Hmmm…still needs a bit of work, but the cupboard’s filling up nicely. Roll on the carpet fitters next week.

Came home early today after a fabulous leaving lunch at the Langley Hall with the team. Feeling very full, God knows how I’m going to fit in tonight’s welcome home curry for Eddie. Poor Mol is very confused about why I’m back so early, but it hasn’t stopped her from having a crack at whinging for an early supper. Sorry Mol – no such luck. Doubtless by the end of next week we’ll be used to each other being around like the pair of grumpy old ladies we are.

Last Day at Work

How weird, it’s my last day at work for a whole year. What AM I going to do with myself? Monday morning’s going to be a shock to the system! Ah well…knowing me it won’t take long to adapt to life as a lady of leisure, I just wish I had 6 weeks pre-baby as a ‘normal’ person able to do everything I love – riding, cycling, drinking, eating unhealthy things! Never mind, I’ll just have to adapt to Fern, Phil and vegging on the sofa!

Maternity Manifesto

Some thoughts on life post-baby, but don’t hold me to all of them 🙂

I will not:

Neglect Eddie in any way
Neglect Molly in any way
Talk about nothing but myself baby/pregnancy/birth
Send pictures of the baby immediately after it’s born (looking like a walnut)
Send pictures of myself looking rough after having given birth
Expect everyone to find the baby sweet
Bring the baby into work
Stagnate at home
Put a ‘Baby on Board’ sticker/Winnie the Pooh side panels on the car
Bore people with daily emails about the baby (hence this blog!)
Get fat(ter)
